In the year 1996, we started of with “Sruthilaya” for coaching Carnatic Vocal, Veena and Bharathanatyam, with the strength of five students Varun, Keerthana, Aruna, Gurupriya and Vidhya.

It is so happened that it has spread through word of mouth and the strength has increased gradually from four to one hundred plus within a span of 7 years. At present we still have a very high degree of patronage from our neighborhoods and the number keeps growing, we express our sincere gratitude for one and all. Many students learn more than one discipline and the parents also encourage their ward due to their quick and depth in their learning process.

Sruthilaya has been renamed as Vasu Varsha Art Academy from 1^st Apr’2003; the special feature of this academy is that the theory and practical are taught simultaneously so that the students are trained for appearing in the Lower and Higher exams conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu, India. This will enable them to get the professional certificates from the government as part of their academic advantage. We recommend the students to learn inter- discipline co-relations.

With this continuous patronage and support received from our locality, we would like to introduce percussion instruments like tabla, Mirudangam with the support of renowned vidwan’s from nearby locality.
